Last week we spent mostly lifting weights working on our lower and upper body.
And then Friday came along and I stepped on the scale and I didn’t lose weight! (Boooo!)
But I didn’t gain weight either! (Yeaaaaay!)
I will admit that I was not as diligent with my diet, what with work and a social life…
It’s not that I over ate, I under ate, yes, you read right. I did not eat enough.
Three days out of last week I came home so tired I didn’t have the energy to fix dinner so all I could muster up was a bowl of cereal.
Who knew not eating would wreck my weight-loss goals, but it did, and as a result I didn’t gain or lose weight. I stayed the same.
Since I showed no progress I had to wear the dreaded 20 lb vest and perform all exercises with it on – No exception!
It was a sober reminder of just how easy you can lose track of your self.
Lesson learned – EAT!
It is your fuel, no matter how tired or busy we get, we must adjust and find time for ourselves because one day we might look in the mirror and ask – “Where did these extra pounds come from?” And the answer may not be as simple as slipping off that 20lb vest at the end of the day.
